Opening a homeopathic online shop?


I want to open an online store selling homeopathic remedies to the UK. I’m sure I can’t legally sell my own, but what are the legal issues of reselling other remedies?

For example, could I sell Nelsons brand remedies on my website, then go to Boots and buy them before sending them to the customer? Do I need a resellers license to do this? How would I get such a license?

If I set up my store on eBay could I sell these products without such a license?

Any advice at all on this issue would be welcome, but I am especially interested in the legal aspects of such a venture.

A reseller’s license would be a great idea, but you wouldn’t get any sales if you buy them from Boots for the simple fact that you’ll have to charge at least what they charge plus shipping. There are too many discount stores out there that would undercut you (even moreso on eBay) that you wouldn’t make enough to make it worth it.
However, once you get a license, you can typically buy right from the manufacturer (or one of their approved distributors) at a discounted price where you’d at least have a chance to compete with the other store’s prices. I’ve tried things like this and you should be aware that it can cost a lot of money to start up a business like this, but as long as you’ve got the financial backing, storage space, and advertising money available, you should be good.
Just in case you haven’t looked around, you should be able to inquire at your local courthouse or other governmental building to see where you can get a business license. Good luck and I hope I helped!
