What are some natural remedies for constipation during pregnancy?


I’m 7 weeks and have REALLY bad stomach pains because I haven’t had a bm in like 4 days! I’m really miserable but don’t wanna take medicine. Wondering what I could take, somethin natural, or safe for the baby to help!

Okay, I have been there, done that.
1) Prunes.
2) Prune juice. Not as bad as I’d feared.
3) Increased fiber in diet. Split pea soup, double fiber bread, nuts (I like pecans), bananas (but they are constipating themselves), etc. Aim for 28 g. per day.
4) Increased water.
5) Exercise. Walking should do it.
6) Benefiber. It’s a colorless, tasteless product you pour into drinks or food 3 times a day and it gives you a lot of fiber grams. (Totally safe in pregnancy.)
7) Stool softeners. These any OB will tell you to take. You take 2 every day.
