Cheap Alternative to Metacam medicine?


My 10 yr old Lab is on Metacam for her rebuilt knees/arthritis/joint pain. The medicine is very expensive and was wondering if anyone used anything else for their dog’s pain/inflammation? I even tried looking on the internet to buy the medicine that way…since you can buy ANYTHING online…but no such luck. :(

Metacam comes in a generic version called Meloxicam. Ask your vet for it, it is somewhat cheaper for the same amount, BUT you use less of it so the cost per dose is MUCH cheaper.
